Quick FAQ

Q1: Can I auto-jump to the usage screen after log in?
A1: Yes you can. Set the plan you want to see as the primary plan but long pressing and select “Make Primary Plan”

Q2: How to I get back to the options screen from the usage screen?
A2: Press the Key icon on the top bar.

Q3: What are you using to collect bug reports?
A3: I am using ACRA (Application Crash Report for Android) to collect bug reports.

Q4: Where do you get the usage data from?
A4: I get the usage data from TPG’s usage site – so unfortunately the stats will be ~2 days old (whatever you see on TPG’s website, is what will be displayed by the app)

Q5: Why does the usage screen say that there is no usage found for the period?
A5: This will generally happen at the start of the period, because it is possible that you haven’t used anything  for the period, or if you have, TPG can be lagging behind with their reporting (usually ~2 days)

Q6: I’ve found a bug! Can you add this cool feature?
A6: If you’ve got feedback/suggestions please send them to: dx3.feedback[at]psychopyko(dot)com.  Can’t promise that I’ll be able to respond/implement everything that is suggested, but will try my best :)

    TPG PAYG
My PAYG data limit is 50 Mb (150 Mb for broadband customers) but the app shows the limt to be 150 Mb

      Hi deeuubee,
If you long-press on your PAYG plan, you should be able to toggle between customer/non-customer which will also change the limit accordingly.

      Cheers,

    Hi Peggy,

A great app. Much better than the other one that is available.

I have 2 phones on our account, is there any chance that it can display both accounts usage at the same time?

I think a great idea is your displaying the phone number somewhere on the page so that I know what account I am looking at.

Your plans in the future for the app to run as a widget, and collect data (perhaps once a day) to give a warning when a certain percentage of the allowable cap has been reached would certainly be worth purchasing. I realise that TPG are up to 2 days out, but a warning at 65 or 75 percent gives you ample time to cut back on your usage.

Auto-login, Widget & Notification would be very useful :)

  4. Luke says:

Great app- really useful. Any chance you can put a “clear make primary account” into your next release, to restore default behaviour?
    Thanks.

  5. noskap says:

I don’t know what it is, but I just cannot login.
I can log in fine on my PC through the website and I have an active mobile usage plan. It just won’t work, says incorrect username or password everytime.
If anyone knows what I could be doing wrong drop me an email at nokap@live.com.au.
    Thanks.

  6. Jester says:

Can you please add the ability to have multiple accounts? My accounts aren’t linked on TPG’s side so the app only lists the one I’ve entered.

  7. Murray says:

    Hi pyko,

    Good work!

I have got a 9.99 business supervalue plan. This is unrecognised by TPG monitor and crashes the app. Any chance you will support the business plans too?

Alternately I’ll change my plan to a personal one since there is negligible difference between them…

  8. Cuong Hung Cao says:

I have the same problem as noskap invalid ur name or password. Web access is fine.

  9. virginia says:

i can’t even log into my mobile account

  10. Tony says:

    Hi,

First of all, thanks, great app I have been using it for over a year no problems. However I recently lost my phone and had a new sim card issued. With my new phone I logged on however my account wasn’t active yet and I got the message ” No mobile plans were found”. My account is now active but I still get the same message. I have cleared Cache, uninstalled and re-installed the app, cleared primary mobile, cleared all APP-data still get the same message. It works fine on my tablet. Really don’t want to do a factory reset.

    Any ideas?…thanks in advance

    Hi everyone!
Firstly, apologies for the super delay in approving your comments, and of course the delay in this reply…

Read through the above comments and hopefully the current version (v1.0.3) of the app has fixed most of the issues.

@noskap, virginia, Cuong: Not quite sure what is happening here :( try updating to the latest version?

@Tony: The “no mobile plans found” is likely due to a log in issue caused by TPG changing the error message when there was an invalid log in, so on the phone even if you accidentally entered the wrong credentials (relatively easy thing to do), it would still behave as if you logged in. This was fixed between v1.0.2 and v1.0.3 so hopefully will help :)

    Cheers,
    Peggy
